In the very special children’s book, An Instrument for Eddie, Eddie is an unusual elephant who loves to perform. He dreams of music, and his fondest wish is to play a musical instrument. Eddie tries to learn how to play several different instruments, but is unsuccessful.

Eddie is also a resourceful elephant and he never gives up. Through his determination, he finally discovers an instrument that is just right for him!

This extraordinary book was inspired by a true story about a little boy with a hearing impairment, who was also determined to play a musical instrument. Just like Eddie, this little boy didn’t give up. Because of his determination and passion for music, the little boy is also able to play an instrument just like other children.

Jesus Christ is mankind’s Saviour, Mediator, and Redeemer. Therefore, accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour is akin to redeeming our souls from eternal separation from the Creator of the universe. This is where the Ladder from heaven is brought down to our lost and desperate souls needing His grace and mercy.

Whenever I think of bridge, it reminds me of the ladder mentioned in Genesis 28:10-20 (NKJV) where the angels of God ascending and descending from it. Gold is the most precious metal and Jesus Christ is God’s beloved Son. God’s welcoming hands come and embrace us through our tumultuous surroundings and periods of our lives – giving us His strength to go through the valleys of pain and our weaknesses in 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 (NKJV).

Lonely Elevator

Title: Lonely Elevator

The function of an elevator is to lift us to a much higher floor. The concept of the lonely elevator is to represent the lonely, outcast people who wish to do something for the society. Most companies would prefer to hire young people rather than older people. Though some companies do not mind to employ older people who have more experience, they are still very important for an organization. They are the ones who can guide the younger ones and even set an example in moral issues and how to accomplish a task. They also can elevate the youngsters’ mindset to see things in a long-term perspective. There are a lot of sad cases where the old people are being left alone. The young ones need to be grateful for their parents and even those who help them in their lives.
